Port Ellen

Port Ellen is a single malt whisky brand named after the now-famous distillery on Islay that ceased production in 1983. For decades following the distillery’s closure, the brand lived on through limited official releases from remaining casks owned by Diageo, often as part of annual Special Releases or premium bottlings. These limited editions contributed to Port Ellen’s status as a high-value collectible brand. In 2017, Diageo announced plans to rebuild the distillery, and production has since resumed.
