    Overall Impression:
As someone who enjoys bourbon cask whiskies, this really hit the spot. There was a slight funk and a touch of bitterness from the hay-like note that weren’t quite to my taste, but outside of that, this was a delicious and satisfying pour.
    • Nose
      Nose:
Alcohol, canned peach, mangosteen, pineapple, crème brûlée, lemon peel, cheesiness, funk

Sharp, piercing alcohol burn on the nose

Dominated by a rich, sweet note like canned yellow peaches in syrup

Tropical fruits like mangosteen and a touch of pineapple show through

Sweetness reminiscent of crème brûlée — vanilla and burnt sugar

Lemon peel adds a fairly prominent citrus lift

A cheesy character is present but well-integrated, not off-putting

A faint touch of rum funk peeks through very subtly

“Everything here was excellent except for the punchy alcohol — really enjoyed the rest.”
    • Taste
      Palate:
Oily texture, peach jelly, mangosteen, hay, lemon peel

Not overly complex, but the notes that show up are bold and expressive

Mouthfeel starts off quite oily but quickly shifts to a lighter, more watery texture

Tastes strongly of peach jelly — specifically like those peach konjac jellies

Mangosteen flavor is very prominent and enjoyable

Slight bitterness and earthiness from something like hay — a bit of a downside

Lemon peel finishes the palate cleanly with a citrusy lift

“Loved the peach-forward character — it really stood out.”
    • Finish
      Finish:

      A gentle, lingering finish

Peach sweetness stays on with a backdrop of lemony citrus
