Can Anyone tell me the difference can between Ardbeg kildalton and kildalton 2014?

The original Kildalton was produced from 1979 to 1981 as a very light peaty malt to produce something more in line with what was considered the style consumers wanted at the time, which was light/fresh/floral, and Ardbeg traditionally was, as you probably know, on the heavy/dense/smokey/medicinal/earthy side, which was not selling at that time.
Also, Ardbeg was still running their own floor maltings back then and was mothballed in 1981 for nearly a decade... so it's from a completely different era, and tastes different to anything Ardbeg today.
