I just got aquainted with the add info button.

* If I want to add something to my earlier form, I can`t, it generates another form (so two forms in sent items)

* I can`t delete a form (http://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies.php?merkid=50&whiskyid=73 I added that this is from 2005, but that`s not true 2004 is correct, I wanted to NOT send that added info wink

* If something is done with this info, do I get an email, like with added bottles, that would be nice to track what`s done with what I added...

Thanx

Yup, I would love to see the added info etc as well, as a user for my own contributions, but for everyone to see the flow of information/facts as well...
A good example for this is wikipedia`s history or discogs edit-history
(discogs itself is a perfect analogy for whiskybase as mentioned before, and they went through the same rough patches that whiskybase does - most notably, too many contributions for too few moderators...
- they solved this by allowing everyone to add a record/page, mark it as"not reviewed" and become available immediately to everyone, and reviewers later rate the accuracy of the information given... who then decide through their votes if this release/bottling page s accurate, needs more info, or is plain wrong and gets deleted.
- this is a as much of a philosophical decision as well as a software design one of how open source and how much in control do you want the community actually to be...?!)

However, what works really well, and makes it transparent for everyone is this
- on each record/bottle page you can see who contributed to the information displayed. When logged in, you can also look at "Show History / Edit" at the bottom, which shows a forum like discussion just about the record/bottle and the changes made over time when new facts emerged or were contributed.
Cheerio.

Remember - whisky scores and impressions are highly subjective and situational by nature - so don't go and buy whisky according to someone else's taste...
