  1. Hemdl scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

He is really a hard nut. Depending on the shape of the day, it varies between "Yuck" and "exciting, interesting and not bad at all". A real curiosity that can stand out from the really extremely bad bottlings with recognition value yet positive. All in all, the notes sound really grotty, but they do not even do justice to the malt. Anyone who likes really unusual malts - that would be one of them.
    • Nose
Eagle owl glue, sour herb notes and red wine vinegar of bad quality. And also sweet sherry, natural yoghurt (here also with this slightly acidic note) and the smell of frozen red berries, which slowly thaw again. Confused and confused, but not really bad. The longer he is allowed to breathe in the glass, the calmer and more pleasing he becomes. The sherry comes through stronger, it is sweet and fruity. The sour notes (that's really sauerkraut?) I do not know, do not quite disappear, but take a back seat.
    • Taste
Dry, peppery and again with a clear vinegar flavor. As if it had been exaggerated with the salad with pepper and the cheap vinegar. Only after a few seconds, the sherry shows up as if in the nose, and the whole thing looks pretty. Something glue here too, which flashes quite clearly again and again. Really strange. The fruit notes are not quite as decided as in the nose, but now with a sweeter basic character - wherever it comes from.
    • Finish
Strong herbs and noticeable oak, slightly dusty. Like dragging the stale air of a long-closed attic through your teeth and throwing away a herbal mixture.
