About Midleton (1975–)

Midleton is Ireland’s largest whiskey distillery, built in 1975 at Midleton, County Cork, by Irish Distillers to consolidate pot-still and grain production for brands such as Jameson, Powers, and Redbreast. The modern facility operates some of the world’s biggest copper pot stills alongside column stills, giving it a capacity exceeding 60 million liters per year. Standing next door to the 19th-century "Old Midleton" Distillery (now a tourist destination), Midleton it has expanded steadily under Pernod Ricard ownership.
