  1. Archer scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

The barrel is very present and supplies the whisky with sweet fruit notes. I personally miss a little the tart, spicy flavors to better absorb the sweetness. But I can well imagine that for Portfass lovers is a small party.
    • Nose
      91 91
Sweet and overripe grapes on moldy soil. Black cherry jam. Spicy. Very dense and fat nose.
    • Taste
      88 88
Covered with dark chocolate berries. Pepper and wooden. Not too dry at the beginning, but it picks up enormously after a short time. Again, a sweetness of cherries, which lays on the tongue. Although the spices are a counterpoint, the sweetness, in combination with honey and vanilla, prevail.
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium long, dry, still very sweet sweet.
