This Craigellachie is an unusual sherry bomb. The nose and the taste are carried by sweet and heavy fruit flavors, spicy wood flavors support the fruit note harmoniously. It does not dominate the usual sherry flavors, yet the Craigellachie is characterized by its "peculiar" Sherry character. An interesting and somehow unusual bottling, I like it!
    • Nose
Heavy, slightly sprightly sherry aroma flows out of the glass immediately after pouring. A touch of furniture polish or glaze dominates the first impression, a spicy touch comes to light. The high alcohol content tickles slightly in the nose, old and dried raisins and dates mix with a subtle fresh mint note. Fully ripe oranges and apricots are extremely "heavy" and fruity, milk chocolate and sweet caramel are added. After the Craigellachie has breathed a little, the Möbelpolitur- and glaze note disappears and heavy and intense fruit flavors dominate. The high alcohol content of 60.5% is indeed integrated harmoniously, but always comes to light and tickles slightly in the nose.
    • Taste
Intense and heavy Sherry with a sweet note dominates the first sip before heavy wood flavors strike. Spicy wood emits a subtle pungency with a wooden pepper note. Oranges and raisins rise from the spicy wood note and exude a wonderful mixture of heavy fruit, spicy wood and subtle peppery pungency. After the taste slowly passes into the finish, creates an intense walnut flavor.
    • Finish
Spicy, creamy and sweet, the finish begins. The intense walnut note from the taste now mixes with spicy and slightly tart wood elements. Individual fruit aromas such as oranges and raisins are reflected in the finish again. For a long time the finish exudes its spicy and fruity aroma.
