A very aromatic and strong malt. Dark berries, caramel, chocolate, tobacco, leather, spices and many other delicious flavors give this malt its original but very fine character. A rather wintry and Christmas whisky. Tastes and pleases me well!

    • Nose
The malt gleams in the glass like an amber color, oily drops pull their way back into the glass on the glass wall. Intensive toasted aromas and dried caramel rise up, nuts and an oily spice blend. Dark and dried raisins and dates turn into sweet berries and sweet caramel in no time. A subtle fresh peppermint note is in the air, overripe apricots and tangerines come to bear. The apricots are getting sweeter and more intense, sugar and strawberry jam come to my mind. Milk chocolate and caramelized sugar mix with hazelnuts and a fine spicy wood note. Through the creamy and sweet nose flashes again and again an intense alcohol note, the fresh mint note harmonizes perfectly with the sweet and fruity nose. Slowly my salivation is stimulated ...
    • Taste
Spicy and slightly tart woody tones are mixed with sweet fruit and caramel at the first sip. Suddenly, a fiery and peppery pungency develops on the palate and heats the tongue and lips neatly. My salivation is almost unbraked. Slowly the sharpness fades away and the timid leather aromas and dark caramel are free. The second sip is initially milder and fruity. Caramel and sweet berries show up just before peppers and chili peppers again. It tingles and crackles in the mouth, on the tongue dancing pearls. Leather and almost burned caramel come to light again, chubby warmth fills the entire mouth. Tart aromas and sweet berries play together, a subtle hint of sulfur sticks to the palate. Milk chocolate and nuts mix to a creamy mouthfeel, a subtle spicy note lies in the background. Creamy and tart wood elements rest on the palate.
    • Finish
With this creamy and oily note, the taste goes into the aftertaste. Fine tart wood tones stick to the palate, slightly rancid hazelnuts and again this unusual spicy note follow. Cedar wood, dry tobacco and a touch of leather exude a little humidor atmosphere. Will the apricots and mandarins come to the end again? I'm not sure ...
