  1. Igor scored this whisky 81 points Expert Senior

In general, I find this better palatewise than nosewise. Being accessible, fairly simple, or mediocre one might say, it doesn't pretend to be something else. Enjoyable and very sippable nevertheless.
    • Nose
Close, stifling yeastiness rushing at first inhale. White apples, sherbet lemons, gummies, apple jelly, remote jasmines and daffodils. It's flat in the beginning to be honest. There's not much to catch here for a while. But bit by bit I'm starting picking up disguised white milky oak, honeysuckle flower, banana chips and porous coconut meat. It mellows, getting more vanillic-sweet, maybe a little vinous/grapey, sapwood-y, cider vinegar note/soft muted fizz of lemon-lime drink.
    • Taste
Reaveals light-coloured? wooden core. That woody flavour is induced IMHO by Quercus alba in the main. The mouthfeel seems dry yet juicy at the same time, very soft, subtle - far from being thin though, got nice balance. Juniper oil/cedar oil, lemon grass, apricot, greengage, a smack of sorrel, hazelnut?, fruit punch with lemon, lime and orange slices soaked in it.
    • Finish
Initial creaminess (barely a dash of light cream) soon dissolves, allowing spearmint, eucalyptus?, cardamom, anise spice, mild pepper to prevail there. Astringency increasing now, acerbic citrus, orange peel, dries off then, lemon pith/-rind. Medium length, yet longer than expected. More overt in its final phase.
