  1. Koning scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

The bottle oxidised well: I liked it better and better during the two years I emptied this Glen Scotia. It's rather sweet and creamy, but has a light and slightly odd Campbeltowny edge that gives it character en keeps it interesting.

Sweet and malty at first, with limoncello, melons and whipped cream. Then other notes like cauliflower, nutmeg, peppermint and sea spray appear.
    • Taste
      84 84
Oily and full, creamy mouth feel. Quity salty, herbal broth, clove, green apples. Has a sweeter side too with lemon candy, banana and vanilla.
    • Finish
      82 82
Quite nutty (pistacchio?) and spices like nutmeg and liquorice root. Winegums and vanilla cream provide sweetness, while it has a vegetal edge and just a whiff a smoke too. A dry mouthfeel bordering on cardboard lingers, which prevents it from scoring higher.
