  1. ScotchGuyTO Supporter scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Built of mostly Glenlossie and Tamdhu with some peat/punch from HP, Caol Ila and Talisker thrown in for good measure. John Glasser scores another hit, but what else is new?
    • Nose

Fruity, rich and well balanced on the nose. Apples, perfume and sweets lead the way, some treacle and a bit of chew mixed with a touch of earth peat, some pink peppercorn and a bit of citrus-y tang.
    • Taste
      85 85
Well composed; very well blended. Nothing seems out of place, orange and lemon meet candied fruits, apple skins, green tea and some doughy notes. There's a real sweetness that rolls in and fights with some heavy handed oak. Spicy as it finishes up and dries quite a bit.
    • Finish
      85 85
Hmm, dryer here... loads of oak, vanilla and spice. It settles nicely, you'll need to give it time as the finish doesn't develop for a while; pour yourself a dram and let ti open for 20 mins. As it opens, more wood, but much more fruity cream too, tea leaves and touches or that chewy malt show up too.
