Completely different from the Scotch Single Malt Circle Laphroaig (Cask #630) that I tasted immediately before. This one is much more elegant and not so wild. It is obvious that it is much older and more balanced although I slightly prefer the power and wildness of the SSMC bottling.
Back to the nose - There is delicate peat, leather, marzipan and wet stones. Some lemon flavor is present as well.
Warming with peaty notes, green tea and lemon. There are still some leathery and marzipan notes, also Banana, which are quite untypical for Laphroaig. Well balanced and very very tasty.
Long, peaty and satisfying, slightly salty and absolutely pleasant.
Recommended, elegant Laphroaig without any fault.
