Complex and voluminous, you hardly notice the youthful age of this Glenlivet. In my opinion, adding water is mandatory or necessary. With a little water, the Glenlivet becomes smoother, milder and creamier, the voluminous alcohol disappears and the fruit flavors come into their own. A delicious and very interesting Glenlivet, tastes and pleases.

    • Nose
Light copper shines with a reddish shimmer in the Premium Snifter, on the glass wall a multitude of small "legs" make their thick tracks. Dried grapes and berries dissolve with roasted aromas and velvety vineyard peaches, the high alcohol content is immediately noticeable on the nose. Juicy oranges and raisins combine with sweet milk chocolate, minty freshness rises, in the background there is minimally dry leather with a hint of sweet tobacco. The voluminous aromas are sweet and fruity through the nose, associations of Jaffa cake and dark chocolate with orange pieces, fantastic!
Edit: After adding water, the nose appears milder and smoother, creamy vineyard peaches and caramelized sugar are now voluminous, oranges and mandarins appear, apricots and strawberries appear.
    • Taste
The Glenlivet flows voluminously through the palate, sweet fruit flashes briefly before acrid alcohol numbs the tongue, it tingles and crackles in the entire mouth area, suddenly the tongue becomes furry and the saliva is stimulated. I add some water ...
The next sip flows creamy over the tongue, caramel and chocolate play with raisins and peaches, espresso and spicy wood tones appear, leather and tobacco flash again.
    • Finish
Dry wood tones stick to the palate, dark chocolate and espresso, spices and dried grapes and berries end in spicy wood tones and a touch of wet leather.
