  1. didi1893 scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Young and wild, powerful and extremely characterized by dried and fermented fruits. The young age cannot be concealed, sometimes appears metallic and immature, but the maturation in a Port Octave has left a lot of color and aroma. Without adding water on the tongue really borderline, it is still fun and invites you to experiment with water ...

    • Nose
Orange-colored amber shines in the Premium Snifter, long and thick "legs" make their oily tracks on the glass wall. Dried fruits rise sweetly, caramel and cinnamon merge with fermented grapes and berries, chocolate plays with toffee and hints of old hazelnut. Over time, the fruity and sweet notes fade, the malty grain and grist come into their own. The alcohol is integrated very harmoniously despite over 58%, here and there musty and rotten notes flash up here and there, spicy wood tones end sweetly with dark yellow fruits in the form of apricots and old quinces.
With a good dash of water: milder, sweeter, fruity, cinnamon and sugar, steamed dried fruits.
    • Taste
Dark fruit and grain aromas flow powerfully over the tongue, the alcohol literally explodes in the palate and then stings all over the mouth. Cozy warmth floods the palate, the alcohol burns sharply in the throat for a short time, the sharpness and volume of the alcohol slowly fade, hazelnuts and spicy wood stick dull in the palate. A second undiluted sip: sweetness, chocolate, dried fruit, caramel, immediately afterwards a fire burns again on the tongue and the Glenglassaugh flows sharply over the tongue.
With a good dash of water: Creamy and softer, sweetness and fruit now dominate the taste instead of spiciness, nuttier with a fine pepper note on the tongue.
    • Finish
Sweet, fruity, warming, voluminous, the aftertaste sticks long and powerfully on the palate.
With a good dash of water: a little more subdued and milder, but still voluminous and long-lasting. Dark chocolate graters, raisins, nuts and slightly rotten wood.
