  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Easy going young George Dickel 'Tennesse Bourbon Whiskey' (sic). We know that MoS owner Thomas Ewers always loves to fool with names. Back in 2017 these undisclosed American whisky's bottled by European IB's were still quite uncommon. Fortunately there's more attention for American whiskey's in Europe nowadays.
    • Nose
Lots of bread dough and hints of cedarwood for a start. Followed by candy corn and nuttiness of peanuts. Walnut cake. Chestnut honey (I love that!). Some resin as well. Later on hints of bananas and soft vanilla. It's all quite young and fresh.
    • Taste
Quite hot now with chili peppers and chicken masala. Gingerbread and some toasted pecan nuts. As in the nose, the fruitiness comes in after a while; pomegranates and bitter oranges in particular. This whiskey has a lovely full mouth texture by the way.
    • Finish
Medium-long and warming with spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. Slightly drying. Licorice. Touch of pinewood in the end. Sure the oak shows in this George Dickel, but after all this is bourbon and Tennessee at the same time.
