Whisky Reviews for Tullibardine 1993 Cl

6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.00 points

  1. Mascht scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

a sour and intense light fruity malt, interesting but a Dram is enough for me
    • Nose
      84 84
very dusty, floury, floral, light fruity after unripe apples, white grapes and lime zest, with vanilla and candle wax
    • Taste
      86 86
rarely a malt drunk in the taste of the bright fruits are so dominant, green apple, lemons, kumquat, green peppers, white chocolate and hazelnuts
    • Finish
      85 85
on the finish short and sour from the oak, with some caramel

  2. Kaleva scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Decent whisky but doesn't meet the expectations as for this age. Light and pleasant on the nose but quite simple and straightforward on the palate. Oak feels at every stage, actually not getting bad but a bit too much. Anyway the whisky is pleasant and easy drinkable, thus what else one can need? :)
    • Nose
Fresh, grassy, lemon zest, vanilla, white pepper, green apple, some honey notes, light maltiness, floral notes with water
    • Taste
Sweet, peppery, toffee dessert, malt, nuts (pecan), light bitterness, oaky tannins
    • Finish
      Medium-long, drying, oaky, malty

  3. Falnor scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

A very pleasant and drinkable dram.
    • Nose
      85 85
The nose is somewhat hidden in autumn leaves, dried flowers and woodspices like ginger and cloves. Old parchment and paraffine oil makes for this unusual combination.
    • Taste
      87 87
Quite soft and lively? After this dusty nose, there's a lot of citrus fruit in a lemonade kind of sweetness. Oranges and apples. ALso fresh grass and some flowers (without the soap).
    • Finish
      85 85
After a fresh palette the end is again different. If the taste was very pleasant and easy drinkable, the nose was the opposite with unsual herbal and woody notes. The finish is rather dry on nutmeg and ginger.
