    Notes from 3/18/16.

13 years cask age and 12 years bottle age. The balance and integration in this whisky are terrific! I think the bottle age probably helped to meld this seamless. I just love this malt profile. This one is just all malt and distillery character. You really have to think about this one. I think Lochside was one of those real jewels that were lost. The building, the whisky - too good. Too bad.
    • Nose
Malty, slightly fruity. hard-to place coastal notes. Perfect balance!
    • Taste
Surprisingly dry and woody. Dusty, salty but with deep, rich fruit. Demerara sugar? Toasted coconut? Hard to place flavors. Fascinating profile here. It reminds me of a longer aged whisky that just 13 years. Maybe that's the bottle age talking.
    • Finish
Very dry at first then fruity. Then distinct green garden fresh sugar snap peas. Very pleasant.
