Citrus style Bowmore nose, only not that pungent but smoothed by age, very coastal influences by some sea breeze. I also getting a note which I can't describe, it remembers me of very old whisky. Also some smooth smoke in the background with a salty touch (sea breeze)
Smooth mouthcoating, citrus, soft smoke, soft seabreeze, some bourbon fruits come trough without those ginger or oak flavors. Than out of the blue: passion fruit! 91/92 can't decide!
Initial the passion fruit which get pushed away by the fruity bourbon/citrus style without some oak or ginger. Then there's the soft peat smoke dancing around it until it devours it. Some tiny oak shavings make there way to the soft peat smoke. Very very late the shavings become a bit louder. I also get a hint of ashes which is something I love! (Because of the ashes: +1)
Very long finish!
