One of the best 7x-Speysider I have ever had in my glass!
    • Nose
Lots of bright fruits that literally jump into your face, especially lemon, grapefruit, lime, passion fruit, with spices such as cinnamon and cloves and light floral, freshly cut grass
    • Taste
again lots of citrus fruits, with passion fruit, apricot, banana, vanilla, and fresh green herbs, such as lemon balm, lemongrass, even lavender and licorice, soft, light harmonious acuteness of cloves and cinnamon
    • Finish
very lemony fresh, with rising eucalyptus, sweet, the finish lasts forever and is still present the next morning as fresh in the nose - a madness flavor!

completely funky stuff - the slightly artificial chewing gum bothers me a bit - but that's complaining at the highest level - flavors, aroma density - composting - at its best
    • Nose
      95 95
extremely horny exotic nose, very ripe banana, passion fruit, pineapple, sweetened lemon, juicy fruit gum, slightly mineral impact, cinnamon, clove, a lot of vanilla, lilac, lavender
    • Taste
      93 93
very fruity - mint and juicy fruit chewing gum in the foreground - sweet ripe exotic fruits from the nose behind it - it literally pulsates on the tongue, creamy waxy greenwood aromas, tree sap, laurel, thyme - very clean aromas
    • Finish
      93 93
very fresh - wax, pepper, freshly peeled branches - citrus cascades, dried pineapple, passion fruit - balsam-like

Absolutely lovely, lively, fascinating, fruity and gorgeous - nearly perfect in every way.
    • Nose
Very fine nose on fruits and herbs
    • Taste
Wonderfully clear and brillant citric fruitbomb, tangeriny, with smooth spices and herbs like lemon grass and lemon balm; 2-3 drops of water make it perfect
    • Finish
Extremely long on citric fruits and eucalyptus

An excellent and complex whisky that at 43 years old remains vibrant on the mouth and wonderfully sappy and mossy on the nose.

93(however it misses the je ne sai quoi factor to score it even higher)
    • Nose
Resinous, herbs, aged olives, sappy trees, mossy forest, old tin boxes, ripe apricots, peaches and mangos, stewed tropical fruits.
    • Taste
Wow! Everything from the nose but vibrant plus some citric notes. More fresh tropical fruits and some spicies as well. Fruity and floral green tea.
    • Finish
      Very long, mellowed,sweet and complex.

    That's wonderful. Enthusiasm 5/5 Whisky n ° 1331
    • Nose
Vanilla and varnish, a combination that evokes some old grains, surprisingly. Very fragrant. Melted and honeyed to the extreme. Ah! Here are the spices that put it definitively in the category of malts. With a little water, the vanilla takes the ascendancy. What richness, what complexity. This woody evoking a bourbon.
    • Taste
Complex fruity, honey, cooked fruit. Juicy and spicy. The addition of water makes it creamier, juicier, more silky and more fluid. Sweet spices.
    • Finish
The spices again, in the continuity of the mouth in a way trèèèèèèèèè ressée and trèèèes deep but at the same time delicate and silky. With a little water, a hint of coconut and banana.

The nose is very nice ... but unfortunately in the mouth, we are going in another direction. More ... soapy?
Lots of herbs. A little too much for me.
    • Nose
      91 91
The first nose frightened me, I had a very unpleasant smell of rubber. Fortunately after aeration, it disappears.
The fruit is once again the majority shareholder of this whisky.
A beautiful breath of exoticism. Mango, passion, guava. Acid pineapple. Woody, eucalyptus, liquorice, cloves. White pepper.
It's fresh. And very mixed in terms of aromas.
    • Taste
      88 88
In the mouth it's almost sparkling.
The fruit is still there: green apple, papaya, pineapple, kiwi. Lemon.
Lots of herbs, flowers and spices. Green grass, lavender, violet. Fresh mint.
      Always liquorice, cloves.
    • Finish
      87 87
Final on liquorice, the mixture of herbs. Anise, mint, camphor, pepper. Light lime. Small woody bitterness.

The alcohol content I have set with an alcohol meter to ~ 47%. Thus, the initially quite disappointing result, however, has developed positively and the bottle contents have increased.
    • Nose
Smells very delicious after Fino sweetness paired with exotic fruit drops - slightly spiced and rounded by the barrel. With a few drops of water, the aromas are even more beautiful to the fore.
    • Taste
The high ABV of 52% I find disturbing - it covers the flavors. With water: Much better! Can now easily compete with the other Speyside Fino Cask bottlings. Wonderful fruit mix with Fino sweetness in the foreground and a well-balanced herbal / spice mixture. Balanced - without burning and bitterness.

    • Finish
The finish is long - sweetness and bitterness alternate. With water the bitterness disappears for the most part and the finish is pleasantly soft and round.
