A bit closed initially with a bit of straw and grass... then some tanginess and a whiff of sharp citrus fruits. Also peaches and a hint of oiliness, or is that smoke? Not obviously fruity, but I got a feeling they're hiding..

Very well-balanced attack with fruits, oil, pebbles. A bit spicy, but again, very harmonious. Good complexity. The only thing I would improve on would be the mouthfeel -- it's a bit thin, and perhaps not as much of a juice-bomb as I would like.

Unlike some of the other recent 1973/1975 speyside finos, there is just the right amount of oak in this one. I do not detect the flat, woody, slightly cardboardy finish that I detect with for example the Sansibar Old Mask 1973.
