  1. Andytka3 scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

N- Open up nicely with bright sherry, then sweet liquorice candy and charming baked fruits. Leathery notes suggested plenty of feint that also comes with light tobacco. Good present of strength that provides the needed zesty edge, jammy danish pastries with brown syrup spreads and milky chocolate. (87/21)

P- Thinly sweet initially, but well lifted with pickled ginger that follow, also chocolate and dried fruits. Toasted phenol nuances sunk in well with juicy but dry sphere. Pleasantly rich and evolving, a good sipper. (88/22)

F- Medium, bright, plum, dried lime, peaches with nice chewy feels. (87/21)

B/B- 88/22 Nicely vatted, very OK NAS from the land of La Ilha Formosa.

    Cereal- 1, Fruity- 3, Floral- 1, Peaty- 0, Feinty- 3, Sulphur- 1, Woody- 3, Winery- 3

    Weighted Rate- 86pt

  2. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Not bad, but quite "angular" (spicy / bitter) and priced about 80 € rather hard, but he would have to taste much more impressive / interesting.
    • Nose
rather spicy-hot, allspice, cloves, pepper ... dry wood, sawdust, some cocoa and burnt sugar
    • Taste
strong and oily, cocoa, chocolate, slightly spicy and bitter, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, some lime zest and flower cut
    • Finish
long, pepper, a little cocoa and distinct herbal bitter notes
