I do not recommend drinking it in its pure form
As part of the cocktail, you can still endure him.

But if you are just thinking about buying, then it's better to choose something else right away))))
    • Nose
      60 60
When you open the bottle and sniff the whiskey from the neck, you smell the cheap sherry pellmell with port's tone

From glinkern the whisky's smell is terrifying. Aeration does not help this whisky. It smells of plastic and cat estrus. There is no desire to sniff this whisky
    • Taste
      66 66
It tastes like plastic and old musty wine.
    • Finish
      66 66
The aftertaste is the same like the taste and very short

This is really a very surprising whiskey. A blend of about 16 euros and 40%, you do not expect much. But surprisingly a lot of smell and taste, actually no watery mouthfeel; this whiskey can really go along with the cheaper segment sherried single malts, but that will cost about twice as much ...
    • Nose
Clear sherry influence, red fruit, leather, raisins, chocolate.
    • Taste
Chocolate clear, red fruit, raisins, quite full for a 40% Abv, soft
    • Finish
Lightly tingling now, chocloade, red fruit. Mid-length.

This is rather uninteresting to me as a fan of smoke and other strong flavors. Nothing was outright offensive, but it remained far from appealing. Unfortunately, other than getting the notes for this review, I wasn't compelled to have any more. Not an immediate drain pour or anything, but a good chance it gets poured down the drain after being left out unfinished. If it’s cheap enough in the markets where it’s available, it’s probably ok to use in cocktails, it could even be an asset there if a whisky with a sweeter profile is desired. The lingering bit on the finish saves it a bit as it’s more pleasant than the rest of the dram.

Sweetness like a cheap wine (not a $10 bottle, like Nighttrain or Thunderbird). You can detect a bit of raisin in there. It does not really invite you back to nose it again, and if it did you might decline.
    • Taste
      48 48
Red fruit medicinal syrup mixed with a bit of wine and whisky. Vague honey that’s a bit off, like if you tried honey and it wasn’t the kind you like.
    • Finish
      50 50
Similar, short. A bit of malty/nuttiness lingers and resurges a bit longer and it’s not too bad.

It is pretty stingy, with hints of brandy in the nose and palate, but for its price category - one of the best cheap blends
    • Nose
      caramel, honey, brandy
    • Taste
      fruit cake, candy
    • Finish
      short, spicy, woody

Clear sherry nose, quite some leather and a tad shoe polish. A good nose! There are some red fruits and some chocolate in here too.

A bit sweet and sour, but quickly the sherry influence takes over. It almost tastes like if the butts were not empty..... But the chocolate, leather and shoe polish are in here.

There is the first downside, it's quite weak.

Short length. It crashes a bit. There is a tad tannic and wood note. A hint of sherry but it falls apart

A must buy. This one is around €16,- a bottle and has a brilliant price-quality ratio

    Sober, decent.

Very refreshing blend. Not 90 points, but an excellent price-quality! There are quite some SM which cost more, and taste less.
