Opened a bottle of this peated masterpiece on April 8th, 2022 at a Westland tasting in Berlin.

The label shows the mystery soothsaying crystal ball and the fortune-teller. What a lovely artwork. The circus themed labels show the odd nature of peated american Single Malt Whiskey perfectly.

What a start! Sweet peat smoke, wildly intense smokiness, behind the peatiness comes layers of malty notes and bitter chocolate. Reminds me of warming embers of a bonfire.

Oh boy, that mouthfeel of a heavily peated malt whiskey: puts an instat smile to your face.
salted caramel covered in earthy, herbal peat smoke. Alcohol is balanced and not to heavy on this one.

Hints of oily and maritime aftertaste. Lingering maltiness. Comes in heavy, fades away smooth but not to long - it is still a young malt whiskey. But the finish is beautifully soft for this peated curiosity.

Hystorical bottling for the peated Westland expressions.
