N: Vibrant bourbon with a soft caramel and cheesecake base.
T: Said cheesecake with toasted corn.
    F: ……… corn
C: It’s so very Balcones, such is their distinctive character profile, but to be placed alongside the previous Karuizawa WB puts everything in perspective. It is what it is, and its good at being that.

Out of 10 - 15 bourbon whiskies the best nose I had so far.
    I don't understand the price! I've got a sample from masterofmalt.com.

    A fascinating nose.
    • Nose
Powerful and engaging. Sweet corn syrup with caramel flavor and hints of peppermint. Fine leather and butter cookies. Further, the spices of oak, like old and valuable furniture. Maybe some ashes, some fruits ... maybe blueberries and orange? Actually a very nice and complex nose!
    • Taste
Undiluted a bit spicy (no surprise, due to ~65 Vol.% alc.!). A medical touch, corn syrup again and wild honey. A bit floral. Bitter, some roasted hazelnuts.
With some water (~50 Vol.%), more bitterness (wood spices) present. The flavor of nuts increases. Also chestnut and natural cacao butter (some acid with dark chocolate flavor). Some black tea, this means herbs and a dry feeling for me.
    • Finish
Medium, black tea and toasted oak. Hazelnuts. Still some wild honey sweetness.
