Violent sherry dominates this Glengoyne. Dried fruit ends in a pleasant sharpness, voluminous and powerful sherry flavors play with each other. I really like a wonderful sherry filling!

    • Nose
Intense caramel shines reddish from the glass, on the glass wall of my premium snifter there is a multitude of small "legs". Raisins and dates rise, dried fruits play with caramelized sugar and hazelnuts, oranges rub off, minimally there is a hint of tart citrus fruits. Every now and then the otherwise harmoniously integrated alcohol flashes, the orange aroma intensifies, sweet raisins end in a slightly menthol freshness.
    • Taste
Oranges and raisins dominate the first sip with caramel and dark sherry flavors. Voluminous draws warmth through the palate, wooden sharpness tickles discreetly between the lips, a pinch of white pepper dusted on the tongue. The second sip is characterized by intense dried fruit, raisins, dates, dried orange and grapefruit peels end in a peppery heat on the tip of the tongue, wooden elements and hints of sour cherries are added. The mouthfeel changes constantly between creamy and dry, at the moment the saliva is stimulated.
    • Finish
Dark and dried fruit aromas stick to the palate, caramel drips from the tongue, creamy hazelnuts come into their own, the mouthfeel becomes greasy and oily. The voluminous aftertaste sticks to the palate and flatters the tongue.
