#0146 SMOKEHEAD ROCK EDITION II ISLAY SINGLE MALT SCOTCH Whisky IAN MECLEOD DISTILLERS LTD. 46.6%
... The contents of the bottle are quite young, feisty, but pleasant both in aroma and in the mouth, and if we add something for the ear, the whole thing composes well. For the ear and eyes, I chose David Gilmour, and you? You can choose something from " younger rock" - should also work.
    • Nose
... pleasant sweetish peat, feisty, piercing... I have the impression that there is something like... cured ham?, spices for rubbing meat, slightly lemony, but also very foresty, a marshy, boggy meadow, the more you smell the harder it is, an old fishing port... why "old"?, reeds, smoked mackerel???..phew... I guess you need to let your nose breathe a little.
Strange sweet-fishy atmosphere, it is salty, smoked smoke, smoked pear, wet moss, forest, the distillate is quite refreshing, it lets you know that it is
    • Taste
... fatty and sweet, warms like spicy pickled ginger, burns a little, but pleasantly, peat, salty peat, a bit like salty cheese, smoked oscypek, pleasant spiciness... but it doesn't last long. Second sip - sweetish black cough drops, spicy, a bit burning and sweetish at the same time, melted butter and a bit of paprika, there's peat, but somewhere "far away", only a peat aftertaste remains, I don't detect any fruit, if it is then rather "warm", heated up like from a grill, then the aftertaste of smoked fish, not cold but still a bit warm and fatty... strangely, but I like it.
    • Finish
... oily, sweet, burning, slightly peaty, bitter, salty and smoked, spicy, medium-long
