At first, quite savory and spicy for a PX cask.
Myriads of cooking spices like black pepper, coriander, caraway, and other indistinct flavors. Then, after about 15-20 minutes, the sweeter fruit aromas emerge. Associations of dark berries, juicy cherries and poached peaches. Marzipan and some herbal honey. -
Smooth arrival. Honeyed oak, menthol, a touch of dark chocolate and a whole lot of sherry goodness. An evanescent citrus backdrop, black tea leaves, and faint caramel.

Medium-long. Despite the lack of overt oakiness on the palate, tannins linger quite a while.
