  1. didi1893 scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

The great aromas of the aftertaste stick to the palate and stimulate the tongue. This malt is harmoniously balanced and the variety of different and tasty flavors makes this malt a real taste experience. A great and dreamlike drop, I'm thrilled! 93 points and air up ...

    • Nose
Dark and intense amber shines brilliantly in the Premium Snifter, on the glass wall sticks a tough streaks from which dissolve small and oily drops in slow motion. Dark sherry aroma rises, dried raisins and dates dissolved from the heavy fruit note. A subtle peppermint and eucalyptus notes give the dark and ponderous berry aroma a fresh note, slowly rising fruity sweetness. Sour cherries and redcurrants pass through the intensifying sweetness, apricots and peaches show up tentatively. Roasted flavors and a slightly nutty aroma mingle with tough forest honey and sweet tangerines. The tangerines will be sweeter and more dominant, followed by slightly grassy hints, cherries and blackberries end in a sweet yet fresh fruit cocktail. Here and there shows milk chocolate, the alcohol is wonderfully harmoniously integrated and is barely perceptible. My salivary flow is slowly stimulated, a velvety leather note and a few sweet tobacco crumbs are no sooner whitened by fruity sweetness and a hint of peppermint. Slowly, chocolate and cocoa appear, forest honey and lightly caramel mix with sour cherries and sweet tangerines again and again.
    • Taste
The first impression is characterized by creamy nut chocolate and dark cherries. All of a sudden, the alcohol, barely perceptible in the nose, explodes powerfully on the palate, and wooden sharpness envelops the tongue. A pinch of black pepper spreads on the tongue and mercilessly exudes its powerful sharpness. The palate is dry, old and dark wood elements suddenly dominate the taste. Dark and dried fruit flavors stick to the palate, burnt caramel and dried tobacco leaves end in a light leather note. A hint of dark chocolate is permeated by a subtle spicy note, the mouthfeel becomes oily and creamier. The leather aroma and the dried tobacco become more intense, old wood tones rest creamy and slightly rancid on the palate. The second sip is initially mild and creamy again until this peppery pungency sets in and distributes its plump warmth in combination with pungency and light chili throughout the mouth. Eucalyptus and mint rise and refresh the palate, spicy wood elements and leather follow the fresh note and let the taste again slightly dry and dark. Walnuts and a touch of liquorice end in a creamy mouthfeel.
    • Finish
Dark fruit notes and harsh leather or tobacco notes dominate the aftertaste at the moment. Here and there are eucalyptus and mint, dried raisins and dates follow. Dried tobacco leaves follow the emerging chocolate and dark wood tones. From time to time fruity tangerines, sour cherries and dark caramel show up. Slowly the tasty flavors come off and leave a mixture of sweetness, freshness and tart leather on the palate.
