Straw yellow is this whisky! The aroma is restrained. Here is a clear Sherrynote, lots of sweetness and fresh citrus fruits. The taste is more expressive than the nose. Again a lot of sweetness. There are apricots and again citrus fruits, but also grapes and almonds in the background. A peppery pungency is a pleasant companion all the time. The aftertaste is long and warm and leaves behind a hint of plum wine.
A light, tasty whisky. Extremely round and harmonious.

    NOSE:
dried figs (reminiscent of Redbreast), dry sherry nose with a certain alcoholic spiciness

TASTE: coffee-like, soft at first, then drying quickly, and in the

ABGANG it then follows quite a bit, a bit burning and bitter with a note of calamus root. Overall, not that convincing for me at first glance.

But now to the presumed origin: I'll say Speyside, Oloroso barrel, at least 46%, 12 years
    I would be worth a maximum of 40 € - maybe benriach sherry 12yo?

The whisky has its delicious sides, but I'm not really excited. 78 points.

Something alcoholic. Otherwise vinous soft fruits, grass, malt.

    • Nose
Begins with a delicate maltiness followed by fruity aromas and a hint of sherry. Porridge with yellow kiwi and apricot and muesli with dried fruit.
    • Taste
Soft, voluptuous body. First, juicy sherry notes, oranges, apricot, dry oak and spicy notes of ginger and pepper.
    • Finish
Medium long, delicate oak with pronounced spiciness of ginger and cloves.

This one is hard to find nowadays, but do not despair, it’s not that good. Much better than the regular 12, but also twice the cost. Spend those 65 EUR on something else.
    • Nose
The nose is fruity and sweet. Oranges and apricots with a hint of unripe pineapple. Mildly floral with freshly cut grass and wild heather flowers. Quite grainy. Hints of dades. After a few moments some banana kicks in. More than okay, though.
    • Taste
It is nicely oily, but immediately honeysweet on the palate. The same fruit as on the nose, upholstered with some mild spices. A bit of cloves and liquorice, but also a pinch of pepper. Some nuts join. Again more than okay, but far from grand.
    • Finish
The finish is medium long and shows some agrums and cocoa.

anything but boring, he starts gently in his mouth, he has a lot of volume and power for a Lowland Paint
    • Nose
soft round but spicy oak with a slight hint of cocoa and increasing waxy notes, as with grandpa in the woodshed, after sawing with a slight touch of resin in the wood dusty air, behind prunes and raisins, the first sour fruity and later sweet smells, with some leather and dates
    • Taste
very soft and round, sweet, toffee, caramel, slightly bitter spicy sparkling oak, chocolate, tobacco leaves, behind it red fruits with the second sip of dried fruit - dates, plum jam, lemon zest
    • Finish
quite long and warming, but not alcoholic, citrus, cocoa, orange oil, nuts
