  1. Dram Dracula scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

The definition of quaffable, but that would be a waste, wouldn't it? This is a contemplative dram, to be drank at a contemplative time, by a contemplative gentleman :)

Bottle finished on Feb 16, 2024 -- after trying a few other GM Glen Grants (all bottled around 1936), I realize that this 1957 is actually quite bright, has a thicker mouthfeel, more old sherry, and more enjoyable. 91-->92.
    • Nose
The most elegant sherry. Very fresh. Juicy. Prunes. Raisins. Purple grape (juice, soda, and wine, altogether!) Ganache and a bit of mint.
    • Taste
What's not to like? It's pure magic. Not too much oak at all despite 44 years in wood. Lovely sherry. Black tea. Old leather. Very moreish, but I'm not sure if it's due to the weak ABV and that makes me want to drink a lot of it.
    • Finish
At 40% ABV, I'm not expecting the world. At the end of the palate, there is this extra fruitiness that jumps back at you.
