  1. rottendon scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Yes, he has something. Relatively typical for Bruichladdich, beautifully balanced, especially the dry sweetness pleases, even if the effect is clearly the strongest at the first sip and then fades somewhat. Had the finish been even more spectacular, it would have been a top scoring.
    • Nose
Start with some gum and yellow fruits. After that, a beautiful smoky herbal mixture manifests. After a long service life he is there, the cowshed, still with some rubber. In addition to subtle, sparkling clean apple notes and some cake dough. Warms up fuller, more pleasing and now with a sweep of caramel. The cowshed becomes a perfectly integrated smoke note.
    • Taste
Sweet and astringent, great combination in the start. Already in the foreground is an oak board soaked in malty peaty sweetness. In addition undefinable musty notes. The alcohol is well integrated and yet powerful, the consistency pleasantly oily.
    • Finish
In the finish, he is still bitter and clearly ashy. However, the whole thing is unexpectedly short.
