Very pleasant dram. Still a bit young, but a nice full taste. Peat quite in the foreground, but also space for some sweet and fruity.

  5. Dre73 scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Characterful peated whisky, where after some time also some sweet and fruity comes forward.
    • Nose
Peat, seaweed, salty, leather. Some smoke (wood fire), some bacon. After some time some fruitiness comes through, a bit of citrus, peach.
    • Taste
In the beginning: A salmiakkick! Peppery, peat. Oil-like structure. Smoke. Then also some sweets, honey, peach ..
    • Finish
Mid-length. Slightly peppery, peat. Honey. Dry, becomes somewhat bitter in the end, oak.

  6. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

Bottle from Bottels and Barrels, Apeldoorn.
    • Nose
Peat, oily, some nuts, roasted barley, pepper and briny - coastal. Overall a bit young with a very typical Ledaig profile.
    • Taste
Peat, smoke, oily, rubber, seaweed and tar.                                         A good gulp reminds me of my first Arbeg 10.
    • Finish
Oily, peat, iron, tar and some plums.
