That nose! This extremely fruity nose with its wonderful peaty smoke flavor is a true splendor! The taste is dominated by a very pleasant and intense sharpness. This malt is in my opinion a bit monotonous but still very tasty. I like it very much!
    • Nose
Blind tasting: Even when you screw on the sample bottle, a subtle smoky note greets me ... During the first nosing, fruity smoke aromas rise auspiciously from the glass. From the sticking to the glass wall streaks dissolves a variety of small potty which then relatively quickly run back into the glass. Enjoyable, I continue to smell the straw-colored in the glass resting malt. The initially subtle mineral peat and smoke has developed in the meantime to a voluminous and sweet fruity nose and powerfully exudes its fine bouquet. Apricots and tangerines mix with green apples and a fresh citrus note. Sweet vanilla slowly pours out of the glass, subtle licorice is added, the alcohol is wonderfully harmoniously bound. Slightly spicy wood elements flash up, the sweetness plays with the fruity aromas. I look forward to the first sip!
    • Taste
Earthy peat with a cold smoky note beats powerfully on the tongue. Spicy and discreetly tart wood aromas change seconds later into cold, almost biting smoke. Wood sharpness mixes with a pinch of black pepper and a few grains of salt to a fiery sharp note. In the aftertaste harsh and dry wood elements rest on the palate. The second sip is just as powerful as the first sip. Spicy woody aromas warm the mouth, then the intense sharpness rekindles. This time, the spice has mixed with a decent portion of chili and fires the tongue powerfully. A subtle oily aroma is created ...
    • Finish
With this long-lasting sharpness, the taste goes into the finish. For a long time this sharpness envelops the palate in a cozy warmth. After the pungency fades away a wonderful mixture of spicy, fine-grained wood and dark walnuts is created.
