This family cask impresses with its wonderfully balanced nature. Gentle sweetness, subtle fruit notes, spicy oak and an incredible volume in taste. Not too wooden and not overloaded with extreme sherry, just wonderfully harmonious. I like it very much!

    • Nose
Nutty caramel with an orange shimmer rests in the Premium Snifter, an oily streak sticks to the glass wall from which a multitude of small "legs" come loose. Mandarins and hazelnuts rise, oranges and apricots appear, peach and a hint of sour cherries end in lightly caramelized sugar and minimal milk chocolate. Despite 52.7% alcohol, the nose is extremely mild and gentle, the alcohol is perfectly integrated. More and more velvety vineyard peach and milk chocolate come into their own, with a minimal hint of fresh mint and menthol.
    • Taste
Sour cherries dominate the first impression before oranges, caramelized sugar and chocolate in voluminous wood tones end with a good load of high-proof alcohol. Wooden sharpness burns on the tongue, the alcohol draws warmth through the palate before extreme dryness spreads in the entire mouth. Dark chocolate and espresso, caramel and dark toffee, plus a pleasant tingle and tickle on the cheeks and on the tongue. I actually wanted to add a little water after the first sip, but the interplay between this gentle and fruity appearance and the volume that explodes in my mouth afterwards prevents me from doing so.
    • Finish
Abrasion of orange peel, slightly peppery sharpness and plump warmth start the aftertaste. Vineyard peaches, chocolate, nuts, espresso, oranges, caramel and spicy wood tones, these wonderful aromas stay in the mouth and warm the palate.
