Mortlach has always been interesting to me. That's why I started with this bottle. I was pleasantly surprised. A good malt in terms of price-performance ratio.
    • Nose
You have to like it. Matches. Smells too good to me to think of sulfur. Wonderfully mineral. Light honey and raisins. Dominant notes of tea. Not uncomfortable, but somehow exciting. I know Mortlach is hated and loved for all of this. I like that a lot. Now I have some orange peel. Letting breathe is good for him. Then it goes from match to wood. Light vanilla flavored with oak .. The leather saddle also hangs in the room.
    • Taste
Orange or rather lemon. Again the matches. Honey, caramel and citrus peel. Slightly mineral and drying. Now he's getting hot. There's caramel and it's gone again. Barley and grassy leather conquer the mouth. Everything works very harmoniously with one another. Good barrel choice.
    • Finish
Medium to short. Oily and minerally, it goes too fast. Peppery lemon and cinnamon. Almonds lie in the grass and complement this experience. A pleasant finish.
