    • Nose
Fresh, slightly sour. Dry white wine, sand, loamy soil. Summer grasses, light wood, some disinfectant.
    • Taste
Malt with a subtle honey sweetness. Chili chocolate, filter coffee, slightly alcoholic. Medium.

A bomb comes out of the bottle, then quickly dies. Very cool young Brookladdy, creamy fruit, good balance.
    • Nose
White grapes, mangoes, creamy dessert with honey, flower meadow, the nuances of minerality and the sea, a dusty bag.
    • Taste
Light sweetness, a slight acidity with bitterness, good balance. A bit of pine needles, honey, citruses poured with whipped cream.
    • Finish
Prolonged, warming, but the degree does not bite at all. At the finish, sourness and astringency of citruses with cream.

Sure, it tastes young, but he makes no secret of it. If you know Bruichladdich, you can estimate what you get with an 8 on the label. It is not very complex, but you do not expect that at 8 years either. Drinks well, a spring whisky.
    • Nose
The sweetness of fermented peaches. Vanilla sugar. In the background, something musty, but all in all, it shows in the nose but rather fresh, fruity and light. The alcohol does not sting.
    • Taste
Strong on the palate and spicy on the tongue. Oily and creamy. Less fruity than in the nose, but the sweetness from the sugar is there. Slightly bitter herbs are coming.
    • Finish
Medium to short, still quite creamy, with herbs, honey and some oak.

Not overly complex, but not a failure. Nice whisky to chuckle away.

Aroma: floral aromas, nectar, vanilla, barn with grain, dusty sacking, sea freshness somewhere in the distance, a lot of different nuances and half tones, of which wasabi and viburnum jam, just want to explore it for a long time, very nice.
Taste: malt sweetness, a bit of bitterness from citrus peel, oak bitterness, hint of needles. 50% is not felt.
    Aftertaste: long, mostly taste continues
    Rating: 85
Bottom line: for eight years, just luck! The aroma is just wonderful! If the taste and aftertaste were following him, there would probably be a masterpiece of eight years, but unfortunately not ...

Nose of floral manure (which is positive!), Pleasant mouth, good length. He tells a beautiful story. Good value for money

  7. Issie did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
Pear, slightly menthol, red floury apple, some wood and something slightly sweet
    • Taste
light tingling on the tongue, pear and apple again, mild pepper and a very slight bitterness
    • Finish
      pretty short

Conclusion: no notes but almost a bit boring. Can you have a drink?
