Whisky Reviews for Glenfarclas 18-year-old
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.72 points
- A good, mature Speyside Malt at a fantastic price.
fruity (raisins, plums), a lot of sherry, oak wort / oak;
fruity onset, consistent apples, ripe plums, oak, sweetness (honey), not very complex;
medium long soft finish; fruity sweet aftertaste;
Light Tobacco smoke in a vanilla jacket. Little citrus freshness and raisins.
A fine, light cream with a little ginger spice and sour apple. Honey and almonds. Good combination. Woodtones at the end coming up before drying out a little bit.
Mild and medium finish with light spices and sherry.
- [November, 2014] Together with friends I emptied a bottle that I bought for 60 Euro in October, 2014.
In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 85. I took no notes.
