  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Classic of Islay is value for money when it comes to fat smoke and CS, as well as the two here. In the smell I found 1725 more interesting, but because of the sharpness in the mouth I had to dilute so much that the flavor was suboptimal and the cowshed was also not so nice over ... but that is complaining at a high level and due to the direct comparison, there is always the "bad" named, for the price and for themselves are both delicious whiskys.
    • Nose
Direct Comparison Cask 2463 Vs. Cask 1725: 2463 is stronger, snappier despite the lesser strength, fat, ashen grill smoke with a little bit of dark chocolate, with some water comes a sour red wine note, 1725 is milder, creamier, caramel, the smoke is more organic, has a clear Kuhstall- / farm grade, water tickles only temporarily more alcohol / sharpness out
    • Taste
2463 is with the drop of water for the nose in the mouth optimal - neatly Wums, but not too spicy, lots of sweetness, dark chocolate, black pepper, oily, fat barbecue smoke, a little burned, 1725 is sharper, more biting, the smoke is bitter, there you want to add water, milder (but still white pepper remains, if you do not want to dilute him), again creamy, toffee, the smoke is milder, but really vegetable bitter, the cowshed is still there, but not so nice like in the nose
    • Finish
2463 long, warm, dry, barbecue smoke, dark chocolate ... in the long run the sweetness wins, 1725 toffee, then peppery, even drier and again herbaceous-bitter
