    105 proof was the old measure of alcohol content. The whisky was mixed with gunpowder. Based on the explosive strength of the mixture, the alcohol content could be calculated.
    The Glenfarclas 105 named after that matured exclusively in sherry casks and was bottled at a strong 60% ABV.
