Nah, the nose is great but otherwise
    • Nose
slightly smoke, slightly raspberries, bitzlet something, later slightly sweet with water: more red berries, smoking becomes stronger
    • Taste
soft on the palate, smoke is stronger, malt with water: sulfur notes
    • Finish
long, good smoke, a little rotten / rotten with water: malt

An altogether very inexhaustible Ardbeg that I would consider blind to a weak 10's batch.
    • Nose
Very typical Ardi and a bit boring, ashes, iodine, quite stinging, toothpaste, salt, fresh bread and dried hay, as well as a certain typical peat sweetness
    • Taste
Smoke, nutty and earthy notes, but a bit watery, a bit complex and unsettling, rough malt and a bit of sulfur, well
    • Finish
Departure is at most medium, looks quite young, smoke, ash and some sweetness remain

The official tasting notes for Ardbeg Perpetuum Color: deep amber color Aroma: Gentle, delicious and tempting, with the unmistakable ardbeggian combination of tar, soot and pine resin. Then there are hints of dark chocolate, toffee syrup, coffee grounds and a distant nutty touch. A bit of water promotes the fresh, salty sea breeze, a bit of flaxseed oil and the fragrance of the unmistakable Ardbeg character: pine resin and citrus fruits. An unbelievably fresh bouquet for such a peaty whisky. Mouthfeel: The creamy texture is gently distributed on the palate. Taste: Intense, robust, smoky peat; savory smoked bacon, cinnamon and nutmeg, but also an incredibly creamy-sweet, vanilla-chocolaty flavor that flatters the palate. An infinitely long finish, with a bit of flaxseed oil, thanks to the sherry casks, a small amount of tar oil and tar, very subtle and gentle.

A good Ardbeg, but for me a bit too smooth and young tastes. Here is missing the direct and complex of other Ardbeg bottlings.
    • Nose
As you might expect, the smoke comes first with a hint of sulfur, followed by a heavy sweetness and a surprising touch of wild ragout.
    • Taste
Of course, the flavor is the smoke in the foreground. However, also slightly earthy and nutty traces are perceptible. Unfortunately, this Ardbeg tastes a bit young.
    • Finish
The finish is pleasant and medium length, but also here the young age is clearly visible.
