I am not a fan of Bowmore in general, I find that not bad. The peat is nice, not stupid at all. The whole lacks a bit of complexity to seduce me completely.
    • Nose
The smoke is immediately present, ahead of the scene, but not invasive. She is even quite sweet, vanilla, limited sweet. Behind this smoke emanates from the yellow apple and a zest of lemon. Juicy pear is also shown at times, after aeration.
    • Taste
The vanilla pear is essential first. Then the sweet and slightly ashy smoke follows suit.
    • Finish
Long. The vanilla fruits go out quite quickly, but the warm ashes stay in the mouth for a long time.

I wish the whole would follow the nose's level, which was simply adorable, really. Still, quite decently priced I believe !
    • Nose
I adore this nose. It's like the best of both world between what was actually good in FWP and what is obviously good in exotic fruits. Patchouli vs mango, lavender vs pineapple, lilac vs raspberry. God I love it. All that works in sync, it's perfumy but never vulgar, fruity but never oversweet. It's juicy, it's fresh, it's mature, it's just damn pleasant. The smoke is actually practically inexistent per se (at least to me, and on a quite oxidized sample), but is integrated in a way that this dram is obviously totally different than one of those '91 Irish that could though be described in similar notes. So, in short, not smoke & fruits, not even smoky fruits, just "Bowmorian fruits".
    • Taste
Sadly, it's a little less magical here. More generic, it's just nicely focused on smoky pineapple and meringue. A touch of mango, of white flowers, of salt. Classic.
    • Finish
Smoked butter, raspberry, very good but just not on par with the nose neither. Exotic fruits make a nice, dry comeback at the end, but not as juicy as before.
