  1. Moses scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

I had waited a long time for this. The closed bottle on the shelf at home I was looking for cheap samples. Now I was lucky that André had done it shortly before Corona. So it was finally possible for me to devote enough time to the "King of HP" with sufficiently large rehearsals. From here, a big thank you to Whisky Evening ;)
    • Nose
If you go to the glass too quickly and not at least 30 minutes. can wait is somewhat disappointed. Only the standards are immediately there: oak, peat and the best sherry notes. But then after the appropriate time in the glass plus a few drops of water, the very large fruit basket spreads out. Very interwoven and complex you will find everything your heart desires. It feels like the fruit cream tarts from the pastry shop! Heijeiei, what a nose. If the palate and the finish can stand it, this evening will last well into the night.
    • Taste
With a lot of power and volume, it implements exactly what the nose promised. Impressive sherry notes without getting obtrusively dirty. With a texture balance of sweet, salty, sour and pleasantly bitter, he flexes his 25-year-old muscles. At least now I understand how the hefty price came about. But I wouldn't make him a unicorn, because for me he's the logical progression from the 18. That's a quick way to explain it. The big brother of the famous 18 but striking and much more complex. Butter biscuits spread with jam. Delicate caramel and grapes in nut dark chocolate complete the experience. Warm, tart spiciness leads into the transition.
WOW: This was never meant to end!
    • Finish
A delicate transition into the finish. The finest oak chips lie in a cigar box made of the finest leather and are covered with old tobacco leaves. Everything stays on the palate like hot dark chocolate for a long time and evokes memories of the fruit basket nose at all levels. fabulous ! What this malt delivers is the highest art, also in terms of cask management. Here the best of everything has been given to the best people. Nothing is left to chance. A top-class 25er that has been planned down to the last detail. Arrived in whisky heaven. Thanks to HP, just great!
