This malt is very interesting and complex. Nuts, sweet and sour or fermented fruits, dark and tart wood elements whet the appetite for another sip. In combination with the peppery and the slight chili sharpness, the wood and fruit flavors come into their own. I like it!
    • Nose
Blind tasting: Ground hazelnuts and almonds mix with velvety roasted aromas. Dried berries and grapes show up, slowly heavy apricot and peach notes dissolve, ripe plums dive into bright milk chocolate. A pinch of cinnamon and sugar gives the ever fruity nose a special touch. Some caramel and toffee mingle, oranges and apples are added. A slightly acidic impact makes the nose look cool and clear in the meantime. Nutty and with a touch of chocolate, the invites the nose to the first sip.
    • Taste
Spicy notes of wood and intense caramel with small pieces of fruit make the first impression very pleasant and delicious. Suddenly, the alcohol is very present, peppery pungency covers the tongue and dresses the palate. After a few Augenblichen a dry and dry wood aroma in the mouth. Old walnuts and wet leaves mix and bring the first sip to a close. At the second sip then immediately dominate woody elements. Again, a peppery pungency sets over the tongue, a hint of chilli heats the tongue in addition. My salivation is massively stimulated while the taste with its tart wood flavors merges into the aftertaste. A hint of sour citrus fruits and floury nuts follow.
    • Finish
Herb and subtly bitter, the aftertaste exudes its dark aroma for a long time. Unripe and green walnuts follow, creating a touch of varnish and furniture polish. Appearances of citrus fruits, immature nuts and a hint of chocolate are long remembered.
