Strange impressions. The aroma is allegedly not without pleasantness. However, it always shows an obsessive note of paint. In the future, the paint does not leave this whiskey, but frank wateriness is also added. Pretty torn.
    • Nose

Chocolate, frankly cognac profile at the beginning, juicy fruits, peach, vanilla, pear, oak, marmalade in sugar, lacquer, obvious manifestation in bourbon barrels, milk toffee, greens of fresh-broken branches, custard, dirty water from under headlights fresh plaster, increasingly obsessive paint, pine and gin, sparklers.
    • Taste
      77 77
Watery, bourbon, again a pile of paint.
    • Finish
      77 77
Sweet, candy, oak and vanilla, not short, butterscotch and paint.

    ¥280 / 35ml @ Sake Museum Karasuma.

    Appearance: Deep orange-amber. Quite leggy.

Nose: Old bottle effect evident. Raisins, caramel, vanilla, wood, cinnamon.

Palate: Spicy and woody, caramel, raisin, old bottle.

    Finish: Peppery, tannic oak.

With Water: Mellow, spicy and woody.

Overall: A nice old bottle blend. Not super special but easy drinking and enjoyable.

A lot of sugared dried apricots (jammy) and salted caramel are the main aromas of this, with a little brown sugar/ cappuccino notes here and there, and a hint of peat always lingering in the background.
I didn't perceive this as complex, a bit shy on the nose, but rich and thick flavourwise, with an exceptional and elegant balance, very rounded and really smooth, with a medium length finish, this is a rich and kind of noble old blend.
Once I get to open one of my own bottles I will write a more detailed tasting note for this.
This note belongs to a bottle for Schneider Import Germany, 700 ml and 40% abv., presumably from the mid to late '70s.
You can still pick these up on ebay for as cheap as chips.
    Recommended.

    Enthusiasm 4/5 Whiskey n ° 1430
    • Nose
Beautiful oxidative notes, leather armchair. Yoghourt with fruits. Honey is coming and growing. More and more intense!
    • Taste
Suave and delicate, very small, but it goes! Creamy. Sweet spices, discreet fruits (peach ...)
    • Finish
      Smooth on the fruits.

This is not as rounded as the 70`s NAS I just had on first sip but this ones seems to grow by the mouth full.

quite thick on the palate and some OBE to boot, give it time and you will be pleasantly surprised.Again this is a 70`s bottle.

On the nose, ashes, woods, spices, yellow fruits, amalgam blend par excellence with a return of alcohol!
    • Finish
a good nose, a good assembly in the country where we find everything!
here is the typical blend with oranges, spices and a stroke of smoke not to scare.
