I find this is a impressive example from Glen Moray, very interesting to nose it for some time. For reference i copy in the link to whiskyfun notes:

For me it is hard to believe that we are talking about the same whisky here. Where are the sulphury notes at????
    • Nose
Fruity, Fragrant and herbal nose, i get slight whiffs of tropical fruit, a few whiffs of terpentine
    • Taste
Fruity, Honey, and herbal taste, a bit winey impression - maybe chardonnay.
    • Finish
      slightly spicy, vanilla, honey

The Jury is out on this one while being a little bitter I quite enjoyed its simplicity.

    1 month later:-

Trying it again I am finding the nose has improved with some nice notes of lemon and melon.

The palate shows definite sighs of oak integration and there is a little Turkish delight this time.

I would actually say the finish is long now so I have revised my estimate.

I will give it another point to 86.
    • Nose
Fruity and floral but not particularly expressive, give it a little time and you get honeycomb.

The fruit notes are pear and melon.
    • Taste
Bitter and dry initially but then just a little sweetness but the overriding impression is sour fruit.

The bitterness is not that bad in truth and there is some honeyed sweetness mixed in with some biscuit.
    • Finish
Medium length still on bitter fruit.

    Interesting nose, but tasting demanding.

One of 6000 bottles. Bottling 22/11/2004.
Found at the distillery at 2005. Bought for £ 75,00.
Classic Glen Moray. Silky smooth in the mouth. Long after taste.

From reading some of the notes on here, I find it hard to believe I tasted the same dram. I find it very pleasant with both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry matured notes coming through. Does not have to be cask strength to be a good either.
And the sulphury notes, where are they at? Not in this dram, at least!!
    • Nose

Initially there is elegant sherry. Then it evolves into som tropical notes. Fresh and fruity with apples and pears. Raspberries. Apricots. Some mint. A bit of earthly notes and marzipan in the end
    • Taste
      89 89
Fresh and fruity again. Melon and apricot jam. Soft spices, sweet oranges. Honey. Herbal. And in the end more lemon.
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium long. Still melon and red berries. Clean finish with no sulphur whatsoever. Some oaky bitterness that is ok, given the melon and berries notes.

Well, this is not a hammer, dried fruits in the nose with bitter notes. On the palate even sweet and bitter, i don`t know from where it cames. A rather short finish not really pleasant.
