Nice old school sherried dram, not super complex but really lovely.

    • Nose
      90 90
Dried fruits, raisins, dates, old wood cabinet, very light smoke, toffee, a bit of furniture polish. Not a lot of spunk or acidity, but nice creamy butterscoth and flowery notes. Vanilla, custard. Digging in it's really nice, not over the top sherry notes. Vanilla sponge cake, ripe banana.

Really good alcohol level, smooth and round, still warm and full, a bit thick really. Barley sugar, very light oak, light smoke, a bit of ginger. Sweetness quite low, like sweet potatoes and steamed carrots, light mint. The body is a little weak, but nothing wrong with the flavour. Second chew is a little more full, smoke is a bit more to the front, a peculiar note of lime soda shows up, it's actually almost fizzy. More toffee, a little bit of banana. Not bad, quite fresh in fact. Third chew is even fuller, notes of orange zest, ripe apples, more toffee, leather and tobacco leaves, a little bit of liquorice. Really not bad.

Light smoke, light ginger, toffee, vanilla sponge cake, barley, cooked vegetables. Long, smooth, and very nice finish.
