Also a very tasty couvreur, I'm slowly rethinking my previous impression, which I've gained from the couvreurs in the past, even if the absolute cracker was not yet there.
    • Nose
A very fruity and sweet start with a tizzy shower, of course also fat sherry, a good portion of oak, but really a lot of sweetness, nuts, a little chocolate in the background, a little tobacco, because you already have a slight smoke association, nice nose, he is with the time always fuller and more chocolatey
    • Taste
ui, oily, creamy, floral, perfume-like, had to think briefly of the Bowmore violet, that's the only moment when I actually have to really think about smoke, then more towards sherry, raisins, intensifying, chocolate, espresso, very light only wood, very sweet, almost liqueur-like, good alcohol strength
    • Finish
still fruity sweetness on the palate, but in the rest of the mouth the oak strikes more, drier, slightly tart, the mouthfeel changes from creamy to dry, a few nuts are added

    • Nose
      Wow, very diverse.
      pronounced smoke note (medicinal); spicy oak; then sweet, but at the same time the typical sherry wine acidity; dark fruit; wonderful barrel depth (has something tobacco-like); the typical lovage note is there, but rather in the background; it has a lot to offer;
    • Taste
      creamy; in the first moment herbs; then smoke (campfire); Tobacco; Malt;
    • Finish
becomes drier, but still sweet; beautiful wood note; Smoke not as dominant as expected

    Nose:
on the iodized smoke and tangled smoke (it is very fine fleeting even, and it must be given air time!), candied oranges, vanilla and fresh leather.
    Mouth:
on the cold, dry smoke that comes out (like a ben nevis OB actually in my opinion), it's soft on the palate, vanilla, woody back, a little leather, milk chocolate, orange and sweet spices , walnuts, or rather walnut oil, a little floral at last.
    Finish:
quite long, simple with the same aromas, smoke still present at that time that of a fleeting and very fleeting Scapa, vanilla, little sherry in fact seen the other Couvreur.
A rather surprising, confusing, very fine dram where the specific markers are a little undermined, where the oily and vanilla, iodized sensation comes before the macerated and candied fruits, a good de facto alternative !!
in short, I go up one point finally even if I remain an eternal novice!

A whiskey that has everything. Sherry, light smoke, great mouthfeel!

      What a nose.

      Baconous smoke

      Dark fruits.

      Heavy sherry.

      Beguiling sweetness.

      Aromatic tobacco.

      Spicy oak.

It's a stunning combination. It's just everything I want. Nothing too strong, but everything clearly available. Plums, dates, cherries, bananas - all in bacon. Chocolate oak. Old pipe tobacco. I could lose my nose.

Breathtakingly creamy. Very cute. Cherry. Then comes the greasy smoke and spices. Juicy. Full. Great.

      Pipe tobacco in the dessert.

Long, heavy with tobacco and spicy chocolate. Cherries fade.

it is easier to drink than the big sherry versions, but the smoked side is interesting!
    • Nose
iodized smoke and entangled peat! Candied orange
    • Taste
the smoke emerges from the fine peaty grip, not like an islay, but presents continuously, it's sweet on the palate, back vanilla, woody, a little leather, milk chocolate, orange and sweet spices
    • Finish
long enough, simple on the same aromas, smoke present at this moment!

Nose:- Soft dried fruit with light vanilla, present of fragrant wood with tinge of mineral and leather.

Palate:- Balance of sweet and astringent mouthfeel. Touch of chocolate and caramel. Creamy oak.

Finish:- Smooth and light, short-medium. Oiliness of oak remains. Nutty. It is a good easy dram, but if you expect something peaty judging by
the label, you will be disappointed. I am still searching for the peat.
