Whisky Reviews for Talisker 57° North

- Personally, I prefer the 10 in comparison. But, as always ... all a matter of taste.
Tight and full. Compared to the 10s, less smoke. But is something "sour" in the nose. Here I have herbal notes and cold, clear broth. The salted malt also here in the nose. The leather note I feel here stronger than in the 10s. Cereals and slightly bitter nut flavor. This one is spicier and has much less sweetness. In the background is a dry tobacco note.
Oily, salty onset. Then comes pepperiness and a sweet fruit note, which I had not expected grad. This oily meat broth with herbs also in the taste. A light smoke film is above everything. Nut chocolate with caramel. In the taste, I also find that this has more citrus notes. The metallic taste of youth can not be completely hidden. The alcohol is good for 57% with integrated.
Medium long and oily spicy. Nutty bitterness. And in the end, getting a little drier. Something, sweetish smoke, remains in the mouth.
