    SMWS Tasting Notes

    Colour: Tangerine dreams

    Flavour: Spicy & sweet

On the nose, initial glue gave way to a dominant orange note (mandarins in syrup, orange blossom, chocolate orange), joined by lychees, figs, dried banana and pineapple; there was also coconut, tobacco, nuts, barley sugars, toffee and mint – laid out on polished mahogany. The palate was big and tingly (but not harsh) – orange zest, clove, nutmeg, brown sugar on Bramley apples and considerable oak. Water brought honey and marmalade on burnt toast and a forest trail to the nose, while dark chocolate, pineapple in syrup, Nutella and tomato leaf appeared on the palate. From the first licensed distillery in Dufftown.

Drinking Tip: Breakfast, after dinner or forest trail hip flask? Try it and make up your own mind
